Mike Hannay recently became Professor of English Language at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His inaugural lecture took place on 29 June 2007. Lachlan Mackenzie is Honorary Professor of Functional Linguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and works as a consultant in languages and linguistics.

I have also cooperated with Thomas Herbst and Peter Blumenthal. Thomas Herbst is Professor of English linguistics in one of the best-rated English departments in Germany (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg). He specializes in lexicography and valency research. Peter Blumenthal is Professor of Romance linguistics at Cologne University. During his exceptional career, he received several prestigious professorship offers.

My international partners include Iva Novakova, Agnès Tutin, Olivier Kraif and Francis Grossmann of Grenoble University, Sascha Diwersy of Montpellier University as well as Francis Steen (UCLA) and Mark Turner (Case Western Reserve University).
